Our History
UCFCU's History
Unity Catholic Federal Credit Union was originally chartered as St. Charles Borromeo Parish Federal Credit Union. Established in 1942 to serve parishioners and families of that one parish, the credit union has grown to serve more than 10,000 members from the Catholic Diocese of Cleveland. In 2007, we became “Unity Catholic Federal Credit Union,” a name which reflects a respect for our roots and a pride that our credit union continues to grow and flourish.
Throughout the years, the credit union has provided first-rate, affordable financial services to its members. Because we’re a not-for-profit organization that is owned, controlled and operated by the very members we serve, Unity Catholic FCU can offer higher savings rates, lower loan rates, and more free or discounted services than traditional savings institutions. Helping you achieve financial security is our goal.
