Summer Activities
Are you stuck in the house and bored? No worries! Here are some fun (and free) outdoor activities that are good for the family and follow social distancing!
Head to Lake Erie! There are a bunch of beaches along the coast of the lake, some more crowded than others. Grab your suits and head out to get some sun!
Hike! Cleveland has so many beautiful Metroparks that have amazing hiking trails! Some are easy and some are a bit more difficult, but this is a great way to get outside and get moving for a few hours!
Take a Bike Ride! Here is another great way to get outdoors and get moving! You can bike at parks, around your town, or along a bike trail!
Find some waterfalls! Ohio is filled with waterfalls and many are in Cleveland! Hike a trail to find some amazing views of waterfalls!
Watch the sunset! Head out to the solstice steps in Lakewood to watch the sun go down over Lake Erie!
Camp out- in your backyard! Instead of heading out to a campground, just pitch a tent in your yard! Still super fun, and you will have a clean bathroom!
Stargaze! On a clear night, try to find a place with minimal lighting so you can see the stars and find constellations. If you really want to get into it and are willing to go on a little road trip, check out some of the best stargazing places in all of Ohio!
Frisbee Golf! There are a ton of courses around Northeast Ohio and some are free to use! Pack up the family, grab a Frisbee and be ready to have fun (or perhaps a laugh)!
Create an At-Home Obstacle Course! Grab some materials and create an obstacle course with the kids. So fun and a great way to be creative!
Get a blow up pool and hang out! No better way to stay cool than in a pool! If you don’t have one, get a cheap blow up pool or a kiddie pool and have fun in the sun!
